Alice Manicur Symposium (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education)

The Alice Manicur Symposium, established and coordinated by NASPA's Center for Women, is designed for women in mid-level managerial positions who are contemplating a move to a senior student affairs officer (SSAO) position in the near future. Participants join other experienced student affairs professionals, from community colleges, two-year and four-year public and private colleges and universities to engage in workshops led by innovative and knowledgeable faculty members with diverse backgrounds. Symposium sessions focus on such topics as strategic thinking; leading change; planning for career advancement and continual development; and personal and professional life balance.

American Council on Education (ACE) National and Regional Leadership Forums

ACE/OWHE National Forums are open to women administrators who plan to move into presidential, vice-presidential, major deanship or other comparable senior executive positions in high education, while ACE/OWHE Regional Forums are geared toward moving women into associate deanships, deanships and associate academic officer positions. American Council on Education (ACE) Ohio Women's Network

The ACE Ohio Women's Network is a network of women administrators, faculty, and staff from colleges and universities across the state that is dedicated to the professional advancement of women. Through representatives, conferences, workshops, and other resources, the ACE Ohio Women's Network is committed to improving the status of women on our campuses and throughout higher education.

Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM)

ELAM's year-long program develops the professional and personal skills required to lead and manage in today's complex healthcare environment, with special attention to the unique challenges facing women in leadership positions. Over 700 senior women leaders have participated in the program since its inception in 1995.

ELAM® is part of the International Center for Executive Leadership in Academics (ICELA at Drexel®) a core program of the Institute for Women's Health and Leadership® at Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia, Pa. The Institute continues the legacy of advancing women in medicine that began in 1850 with the founding of the Female Medical College of Pennsylvania, the nation's first women's medical school and a predecessor of today's Drexel University College of Medicine.

HERS Intitutes offer intensive residential development programs for women in mid and senior level positions. Ohio Academic Leadership Academy

Sponsored by the Ohio Inter-University Council, this leadership development opportunity is open to all faculty and administrators seeking entry-level academic positions. This opportunity prepares leaders for colleges and universities in Ohio, and participants will gain a clear understanding of responsibilities and make valuable networking connections amongst the Ohio public education community. Ready, Set, Go! Series (University of Cincinnati) 

Made possible by the support of the Vice Provost of Faculty Development and the Office of Research, the 2012/13 Ready, Set, Go! Series leads to successful research outcomes and improved retention; increased faculty morale; improved grant success; and a change in culture among faculty members, including collegiality and increased collaboration.

This ten-course series of programs, facilitated by an interdisciplinary team of research faculty, is designed to provide new faculty members with the competence and skills to set up and maintain a successful research laboratory or clinical research program.

The Harvard Business School Executive Education Women's Leadership Forum

The HBS Executive Education Women's Leadership Forum is designed for women who hold senior leadership positions in public and private companies and nonprofit organizations around the world. Participants are selected to create a diverse group of accomplished executives from a wide array of industries, disciplines, managerial backgrounds, and cultures. One very important benefit of The Women's Leadership Forum is the opportunity to exchange ideas with a group of highly experienced businesswomen who face similar challenges in their professional lives.
