Interesting Facts

• WIT was founded in the Fall of 2002 as OCAS's first Women's Technology group.
• Natalya Kelly designed the WIT logo.
• Thursday, January 30, 2003, WIT sponsored an informal talk with Karen Reitor of Communique Productions Inc.. Karen provided the group with information women can use in the IT workplace to assist in succeeding the this male-predominate field. Her fliers and handouts will be posted soon!
• Wednesday, February 5, 2003, WIT held it's first fundraiser in the lobby of the College of Applied Science. We sold hot dogs, nachos, chili, and all combinations thereof to help raise money for our organization.
• Thursday, March 13, 2003, WIT is sponsoring a seminar for all IET/CST students. Carol Sorenson from TheCircuit.Net will be providing resume, cover letter and IT job placement information to all attendees!
