If you intend to take any course on UC Uptown Campus or online with a UC faculty member, you are required to take the ACT or SAT.

  • All official scores must be sent directly from the testing agency to the University of Cincinnati and received by the application deadline.
    • To send official ACT scores to the University of Cincinnati, please click here.

If you intend to take courses at your high school with whom UC has a partnership, you may take the Accuplacer and the UC Math Placement Test (MPT) at your high school.

  • Contact your high school counselor for which test(s) you will need to take, and for UC's testing dates at your high school. Tests must be taken by the application deadline date.
  • ACT or SAT scores will also be accepted if UC receives official scores by application deadline. Official scores must be sent directly from the testing agency to the University of Cincinnati.
  • Accuplacer and the MPT do not substitute ACT or SAT scores if you are applying to take courses at UC Uptown Campus or Online.

Funding for Non-Public and Home School Students

CCP state funding applications for non-public and home school students are only available once per year. An acceptance letter to the CCP program is required in order to submit an application to the Ohio Department of Education for CCP funding.

Non-public and home school students applying for state funding are required to submit their application for admission to UC Uptown's CCP program by the March 15th deadline.

Adhering to this timeline will help ensure that students may have their acceptance letter in hand to be eligible to apply to the Ohio Department of Education for CCP funding by the posted deadline.

Families can begin creating a OH|ID (formerly SAFE) account for state funding in February. The deadline to submit a funding application after creating an account is April 1st, 2020. Funding is awarded for the entire academic year (Summer, Fall, and Spring Semester). Students should apply for the full number of credit hours’ worth of funding they will need for the entire year. More information on state funding is located here.
