Stained Glass for Beginners
Making stained glass pieces is easier than you think! Learn the art of working with glass in our fun, interactive classes in the bright, open studio space in Mt. Airy.
Classes are limited to 6 people. Some supplies are provided for you, other supplies must be purchased. Typical costs depend on the scope of your project and must be paid the day of the class (cash or check only accepted). Our instructor will discuss your project and the details of the work before your class to help you plan out the materials needed.

MJ Riggi Stained Glass Studio
Making a stained glass piece is easier than you think and can bring an array of beautiful colors and light to your home. In this beginning class, expert Mary Jane Riggi will teach you the basics of building a Tiffany style panel using the copper foil method. You’ll learn about different types of glass; glass cutting, grinding, foiling, and soldering techniques; and how to frame a panel. By the end of class, you will have completed your unique design in an 11”x17” panel (size may vary). Register early! Class is limited to 6 people.

Mary Jane Riggi, the former owner of Tiffany's Art Glass Gallery, Inc., is experienced in the art of stained glass, from design and building to teaching. Mary Jane has taught stained glass art classes for Communiversity for more than 30 years.
