Jason Lemon, PhD, is Vice Provost and Dean for UC Online. Online education is an important part of the university’s growth strategy, connecting our faculty to students around the globe by providing online degree programs, certificates, and courses. With a legacy of more than two decades of experience in online instruction and innovation, UC has seen tens of thousands of students graduate from its online programs, and continues to build upon this success by continuing to grow its enrollment and expand its online degree offerings from colleges across the university.

With more than 20 years experience in higher education and online learning, Jason brings an extensive background in online academic leadership gained from years of experience at the University of San Diego, UC Berkeley, Emory University, and as a consultant to universities as they launched new online degree programs.

Lemon has a B.A. in history from Brigham Young University, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Emory University. As an affiliated faculty member of UC’s History Department he taught a Colonial Latin American history seminar in Spring 2020.
