Research Development Services (RDS)

1st Tuesday of the month, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
3rd Tuesday of the month, 9:00 am - Noon

Research Development Services (RDS) office hours will provide consulting, one-on-one meetings, and assistance with access to research tools. During this time, Office of Research staff will facilitate access and use of tools, education materials, research support offices, external consultants, and trainings that are available at the University of Cincinnati. Tool, materials and services include but are not limited to SPIN, Research How 2, SciENcv, information on upcoming grant writing seminars and other information sessions, limited submission and recent announcements from funding agencies

IT@UC Research & Development

1st Tuesday of the month,1:00 – 4:00 pm
3rd Tuesday of the month, 9:00 am - Noon
2nd and 4th Fridays from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

IT@UC Research & Development office hours will facilitate access to and use of research computing tools, services, educational materials and training. Tools and services include, but are not limited to, HPC/HTC computation, data storage, data transfer, analytics/visualization tools, data collaboration, software, portals/gateways and other discipline specific resources. On Fridays, in addition to our regular services, we will bring in special guests with domain and application specific expertise who can assist you with your data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, GPU, and other needs.

The Human Research Protection Program (HRPP)

1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.
(Note the additional office hours for researchers in Teacher-Dyer College on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.)

The Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) office hours will provide consulting for UC faculty, staff and students with questions about Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions. If you are new to research, unfamiliar with the IRB submission process at UC, or just have questions regarding research involving human participants, please come meet with someone from our team. An HRPP representative is available to discuss any aspect of IRB review, from preparing the submission through to completion of the study. Presentations may also be arranged for groups of any size, including graduate or undergraduate classes, faculty meetings, and special interest groups.

UC Press

2nd Monday of each month, 1:00-2:00pm
3rd Thursday, 3:00-4:00

UC Press office hours will provide consulting on how to create a manuscript proposal, publishing contract advice and review, copyright guidance, TOME grant information, digitally interactive publications, etc.
