CSR NIBRS Offenses
- UCPD- All three show increases. This red can look alarming; however we are dealing with very small numbers
- CPD 2 decrease and 1 area increase
NIBRS Offenses: Society
- Liquor violations increased
- Disorder conduct increases
CSR NIBRS Offenses: Person
- CPD - Down 13 overall
- UCPD – Up 3 overall
CSR NIBRS Offenses: Property
- Theft from building up on both sides. No pattern at this
CSR NIBRS Offenses: Reports
- Robbery – Down 5 or 65% of 3YA
CSR Auto Thefts
- Auto theft up 6, down 9% of 3YA. Cold weather, Uber eats/Door Dash
CSR Burglary Reports
- Burglary up 11 and 98% 3YA. Good news – CPD made an arrest of a primary suspect
Pedestrian Collisions
- President's initiative Down 3, No fatals
Personnel Updates
- Greg Valerius was promoted to Sergeant
- Pam Haverkos was hired as a Continuity and Grant Specialist
Uses of Force, Investigations and Complaints
Use of Force
- January 20, 2026: A Police Officer and Police Supervisor used Bodily Force on a subject that was resisting during an arrest for Disorderly Conduct.
- Consistent with training and Use of Force Policy
Display of Force
- January 9, 2026: A Police Officer displayed his Taser at a subject that was fleeing the scene after attempting to steal money from a vending machine
- Consistent with training and Use of Force Policy
- January 11, 2026: A Police Officer displayed his Taser at a subject while attempting to flee the scene after committing an Assault
- Consistent with training and Use of Force Policy
Internal Investigations
- No internal investigations for this period
State Law Enforcement Accreditations
- UC Public Safety formally partnered with the Ohio Collaborative to pursue state law enforcement accreditation
Community Engagement
- UCPD 3v3 Scholarship Classic
- The second Scholarship Classic tournament was held on Feb. 21, 2026
- Help UC Public Safety Put Hunger in Handcuffs
- All donations will go directly to the Bearcat Pantry
- Approximately 30% of college students experience food insecurities, which impacts their ability to be successful in the classroom and beyond.
- 6 Teams (This drive is not only about feeding our campus community, but also about feeding “us back” in return through teamwork and a little friendly competition.)
