Ohio Department of Higher Education Class Instructional Minutes Requirement

University of Cincinnati complies with the Ohio Department of Higher Education definition of a semester credit hour. At the University of Cincinnati, a semester hour of credit is comprised of 750 minutes of formalized instruction. The Ohio Department of Higher Education recognizes that formalized instruction may take place in a variety of modes.

The University of Cincinnati has established a standardized semester schedule for class scheduling. The grid meets the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) instructional minutes requirments. Colleges/departments scheduling nonstandard meeting time class sections are required to comply with the ODHE 750 instructional minutes per credit hour minimum.
