Captain Dana S. Dalton
Assistant Professor of Military Science

Captain (CPT) Dalton commissioned in 2013 as an Air Defense Artillery Officer from the United States Army Officers Candidate School at Fort Benning, GA.

She has served in the following leadership and staff positions:  Headquarters Platoon Leader, Alpha Battery, 3-2 ADA (Patriot), Fort Sill, OK; Launcher Platoon Leader, Bravo Battery, 4-3 ADA (Patriot), Fort Sill, OK; Executive Officer, Bravo Battery, 4-3 ADA (Patriot), Fort Sill, OK and Kuwait; Battalion S-4, 4-3 ADA (Patriot), Kuwait and Fort Sill, OK; Brigade Plans Officer, 11th ADA “Imperial” Brigade, Fort Bliss, TX; Commander, Bravo Battery, 2-43 ADA (Patriot), Fort Bliss, TX and Jordan. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Military Science for the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Her military education includes: the Air Defense Artillery Basic Officer Leader Course; Combatives Level 1; Air Load Planners Course; Unit Movement Officer Course; Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) 80-Hour Certification Course; and the Air Defense Artillery Captains Career Course.

She holds the following degrees: Master of Arts in Leadership Studies from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP); Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Mathematics from California State University, Sacramento (Sac State).

She served on one combat tour to Jordan.

Her military awards and decorations include the following: the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal (2 OLC), the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, and the Oversees Service Ribbon.  She is an Honorable Order of Saint Barbara inductee.

Captain Dalton is happily married to her spouse, Justin Dalton of San Jose, California. She has one step-son, Clayton Clark, and one grand-daughter, Iliyanah both of Redding, California, as well as three fur children, Chloe, Merrick, and Tucker.
