NEXT Apprenticeship Program for Employers

Rapid advances in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, cybersecurity, and other emerging technologies are happening in ever shorter cycles, changing the very nature of the jobs that need to be done - and the skills needed to do them - faster than ever before. Yet, it is estimated that one million tech jobs will go unfilled in 2020.

The University of Cincinnati, in collaboration with its five partner institutions, and the computing and informatics industry across the region and eastern U.S— created the NEXT Apprenticeship Program to close this talent gap with skilled, non-traditional applicants, and in the process, create lifelong opportunities for those who may never have known that technology is a viable career pathway for them.

The NEXT Apprenticeship Program provides robust, flexible pathways to well-paying, high-skill careers in informatics, computing, and cybersecurity fields for underrepresented minorities, veterans, unemployed/underemployed, non-tech majors and existing employees in need of upskills.

With the support of our industry partners and Industry Advisory Board, the NEXT Apprenticeship Program ensures access to talent that meets the needs of employers, and so much more. Find out what the NEXT Apprenticeship Program can do for your organization.
