Options within Co-op

As a student in a mandatory co-op program, you have a few options to expand the range of what you can do in co-op to make your educational experience suit your needs or academic interests more closely.

Alternatives include:

  • study abroad
  • service learning
  • research or creative practice
  • career-related travel
  • international experience
  • entrepreneurship
  • leadership
  • open source software or web application development

You may substitute an alternative for a maximum of ONE co-op rotation.

For more information, consult the Cooperative Education Student Handbook or your faculty co-op adviser.

When you are ready, request to substitute an Experiential Exploration Program opportunity for co-op.
