Graduating Students

Graduates with questions about student accessibility and accommodations should contact the Commencement Office by email at least two weeks prior to the ceremony.

Guests

Guests with accessibility needs may visit the Accessibility Station on the day of the ceremony, conveniently located inside the main entrance of Fifth Third Arena (East Concourse). Enter through the Accessibility Entrance (doors to the far left when facing the arena). Volunteers will provide information on seating and accommodations.

Ushers will be available with wheelchairs to transport guests to/from the Accessibility Station and seating in the arena. Guests may bring their own wheelchair if they prefer to remain in the wheelchair during the ceremony.

Guests do not need advance reservations for wheelchair assistance or accessible seating.

Elevators and family restrooms are available at the arena.

Parking

Guests with an ADA placard or license plate may order a parking pass for Corry Garage. Passes for Corry Garage will be available until all spaces are taken.

Passenger Drop-Off

Guests with accessibility needs may be dropped off at the Bearcat Statue Circle in front of Fifth Third Arena (enter at Corry Blvd). There will be an Accessibility Tent at this location. Volunteers will be available to transport guests via wheelchair from the tent to/from seating in the arena. Guests may bring their own wheelchair if they prefer to remain in the wheelchair during the ceremony.

Distance from the drop-off to the arena entrance is approximately 68 yards on an accessible concrete path (no steps).

Shuttle Service

A limited number of golf carts will be available to shuttle guests with accessibility needs between Corry Garage and Fifth Third Arena. Guests who are in need of this service should visit the Accessibility Tent outside of Corry Garage.
