How to Join
Each of our 4 Councils hold recruitment processes independently from one another. For every organization, membership recruitment/intake is a mutual selection process. As a community, we try to create as many opportunities as possible for interested students to ask questions and learn about the different chapters on campus.
College Panhellenic Council Recruitment
College Panhellenic Council (CPC) hosts a collective Primary Recruitment process in the fall. Some, but not all, chapters will also accept members after the Primary Recruitment period and and may also accept members in the Spring semester.
Women participating in CPC Primary Recruitment will have the opportunity to meet with each of our 10 chapters before finding their home in our Panhellenic Community. If you have any questions about CPC Recruitment contact VP of Recruitment, Chiane Boom, email@example.com
The Fall Primary Recruitment process happens across two weekends, typically in September. Registration is required to participate in CPC Primary Recruitment and also requires a fee to assist in the management, promotion, coordination, and implementation of the Primary Recruitment experience.
Interfraternity Council Recruitment
Interfraternity Council (IFC) Chapters host individual recruitment events. Recruitment for IFC chapters is year round, meaning many of them will accept new members in both the fall and spring semesters. To kickoff recruitment, all fraternities will participate in a "Meet the Chapters" event, however, chapters then individually hold a variety of their own recruitment events during Showcase Week, typically in September.
To learn more about IFC recruitment contact our VP of Recruitment, Connor Yarnell, firstname.lastname@example.org
Multicultural Greek Council Intake
Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) chapters each recruit differently throughout the academic year. Students interested in joining a multicultural fraternity or sorority are encouraged to research the history and values of the organization/s they are interested in, attend chapter hosted programs and events, and learn more about the requirements and the process for joining - as the process is different for each unique organization.
National Pan-Hellenic Council Intake
National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) fraternities and sororities refer to the process of new members joining as intake. These fraternities and sororities typically only have intake once a year, at their own discretion, and hold informational meetings for interested students. Typically, NPHC fraternities & sororities require new members to be at least a sophomore in status. Students interested in joining an NPHC organization are encoureaged to research the history and values of the organization/s they are interested in, attend NPHC events like Meet the Greeks, and chapter informational sessions.
