Findlay Market District: Mapping
Constructed between 1852 and 1855, Findlay Market is the oldest and only surviving municipal market in the State of Ohio. It is located in the 1800 block of Race Street in Cincinnati's historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. The Findlay Market mapping project focused on the conditions of the urban district in which the market is located. Over several months, the Community Design Center engaged in a thorough examination of the physical, economic, and geographical characteristics of the market's surrounding area. A series of maps was then created to visually convey these research findings in an effective and efficient manner.
