Open Classroom Week

Fall 2018 A&S Open Classroom Week (October 22-26) provides the opportunity for A&S faculty and staff across disciplines to visit colleagues' classrooms and watch how others approach teaching. Sponsored by the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching & Learning (CET&L) and the A&S Innovative Instruction Advisory Council (iiAC), Open Classroom Week is a new initiative to promote reflection and conversation about learning and teaching at the University of Cincinnati.

Open Classroom Instructors are NOT expected to be teaching experts!  Anyone who is willing to share their efforts and techniques is encouraged to apply. Participants in previous semesters of Open Classroom Week reported the event contributed to a culture of transparency and support in developing one's teaching practice, as well as gathering new ideas of things to try in thier own classrooms, and gaining a richer understanding of the student perspective.
