Required Computer Competencies
To successfully complete this course, you must be able to do the following:
- Create MS Word documents
- Name document files using required formats or at least so you know that the document is without opening it
- Set format (line spacing, tabs, margins, etc.) correctly and save to computer.
- Use review tools to view/add comments, track changes, check spelling/grammar, and count words.
- Create Power Point presentation, name files, and edit.

Tech Help
The IT@UC Service Desk (formerly the UCIT Help Desk) provides support for data and phone communications, as well as all computing concerns for UC students, faculty and staff. This support includes email, Canopy tools (Box at UC, Echo360, Kaltura, WebEx), wireless access, VPN, UC Flex, file servers and the mainframe.
IT@UC Hours of Operation:

The Service Desk closes at 6 p.m. on December 24 and 31 and is closed all day July 4, December 25 and Thanksgiving Day.
