The BCP and Resource Center provides a variety of services to support your Bearcat journey, including groceries, meal vouchers, professional clothing, children's items (e.g., diapers, wipes), and community referrals. We aim to provide everything you need to give all you've got.

CARE Team

The CARE Team (Crisis, Assessment, Response, Evaluation) responds to reports about students experiencing difficulties or whose behavior is raising concerns within the UC community. The team's responsibilities include gathering and sharing information, discerning concerns about a student within a setting or across multiple settings, and managing situations that encompass a variety of issues. The committee is charged to devise a coordinated plan for assessment, intervention, and management of the concerns for the student's well-being and that of the community. Students who are deemed a threat to UC will be referred for further review by the UC Threat Assessment Team.

Crisis Response Team

In the event of a campus crisis or emergency incident, the Crisis Response Team (CRT) is responsible for communicating to, executing resources, and supporting students and the campus community in alignment with UC's Student-Related Critical Incidents Policy.

Emergency Funds

We offer two emergency funding options to support you when unexpected expenses arise in emergency situations. Once you apply, you will notified directly of approval. Funds do not have to be repaid. You may only receive funding from one of the funds. Review the following funds to determine which will best meet your needs.

Safe Apartment

In partnership with Resident Education & Development, our office provides a temporary living option in a confidential location for students in crisis or in need of emergency housing. The safe apartment is provided on a short-term basis for students who are at risk or perceived risk of harm if they stay in their current housing situation or are currently without a place to stay due to a victimization.
