E-learning is a convenient way to introduce staff to evidence-based practices in Corrections. Through the ease of technology, an individual can encounter learning in a self-paced, self-administered online environment. UCCI currently has one series of E-learning modules, What Works in Changing Offender Behavior, with plans to introduce a second series, Working with Special Populations, in late 2016.
All modules are self-administered and will take approximately 60 - 90 minutes to complete. Once purchased, they can be accessed online via the University of Cincinnati Blackboard Learning System, or if preferred, agencies may purchase a hosting licences to house the modules on internal servers.
If desired, supplemental materials can be provided such as individual homework assignments and/or group action planning exercises. UCCI can provide further technical assistance to score the assignments and/or provide feedback via email/phone/video conference.
