UC Foundation Board of Trustees Elects New Chairperson

Accomplished alumnus continues to serve alma mater in new role

CINCINNATI – Oct. 25, 2013 – The University of Cincinnati (UC) Foundation has elected a dynamic, energetic and accomplished alumnus as the new chairperson of the UC Foundation’s Board of Trustees. Robert Fealy, a Chicago resident, is a 1973 alumnus of UC’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business, and has served on the UC Foundation Board of Trustees since 2005. He will begin his new role as chairperson in February 2014.

Steve Wilson, former chairperson of the UC Foundation Board of Trustees and former interim president of the UC Foundation, agreed that Bob is the right choice.

“Personally, I could not be happier with this decision,” said Wilson. “Bob is a loyal, passionate supporter of the university and is equipped and committed to do an outstanding job as chair.”

In his new role, Bob will be responsible for leading the board in its mission to support the UC Foundation in strategic decision-making and long-term planning. He will also provide guidance to UC Foundation leadership in fundraising efforts on behalf of the university.

Bob is President, Chief Operating Officer and Director of The Duchossois Group, a Chicago-based business. He also serves on a number of other boards for companies such as The Chamberlain Group, Churchill Downs Incorporated, AMX and Brivo Systems, and more. He and his wife, Rose, have been generous supporters of UC for many years and are currently Circle of Honor benefactors.

“Bob is a true philanthropist,” said Rod Grabowski, UC Foundation President. “He is giving of both his time and his treasures, and he is truly devoted to his alma mater. I look forward to working with him in the coming years.”
