Weinstein Awarded URMIA Scholarship
Alyse Weinstein, student in Lindner College of Business, was recently awarded one of three $2,500 educational scholarships from the University Risk Management and Insurance Association (URMIA). She will be honored at the URMIA Annual Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah in September 2018. URMIA is an international non-profit organization promoting risk management in higher education institutions. This is the third year for the educational scholarship fund. URMIA recognizes the need to promote succession planning for future risk management professionals.
Alyse is well on her way to becoming one of those professionals! Double majoring in Finance and Insurance and Risk Management is just one declaration toward that goal. She also interned with University of Cincinnati's Department of Enterprise Risk Management from September 2017 through May 2018, working on complex projects such as Total Cost of Risk (TCOR) and insurance allocations. Alyse went on to work in the IT Risk Advisory group at Ernst & Young in between traveling abroad during Summer 2018.
Well done on your accomplishments to date, Alyse, and we wish you the best as you complete your senior year at UC and become a valued professional in the industry moving forward.
