Are you traveling abroad in the future? Anthem's BlueCard Worldwide program and Redpoint have emergency travel assistance and travel information services for you.

Travel Assistance – Redpoint

Travel Assistance services are provided by Redpoint. Redpoint offers comprehensive travel services, for personal or business travel, when traveling 100 or more miles away from home.

Actively employed faculty and staff covered under a UC Employee Life Insurance policy are covered under by the Travel Assistance benefit. Coverage is provided at no cost. Spouses and eligible dependents are covered as well.

Medical Coverage – UC Medical Plan Participant

Anthem is UC’s medical claims payer. If you are a participant in one of UC’s medical plans and are traveling abroad, you can get help finding doctors and hospitals in approximately 200 countries and territories around the world via Anthem’s Blue Shield Global Core program. If you need to find a doctor or hospital, call the Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Core Service Center at 800-810-BLUE (2583). Or you can call them collect at 804-673-1177. You can call 24/7.You can also locate network providers by accessing this website: www.bcbsglobalcore.com.
