The University of Cincinnati requires that all students new to the University to have a health screening at University Health Services (UHS). You will receive a letter and immunization record sheet in the same pre-arrival packet that contains your I-20 / DS-2019. Make sure you:
- Read the letter.
- Have your healthcare provider complete the mailed form and obtain any required immunizations before you arrive in the United States.
- Upload the form to Med+Proctor (instructions will be emailed to you) and bring the form with you to your health screening.
- Complete your pre-arrival checklist in iBearcatsGlobal to receive an appointment date for your health screening.
- Attend your health screening appointment.
The health screening will include a test to screen for tuberculosis (TB). Based on your TB test results, a chest x-ray may be required and will be done at no charge to you. Chest x-rays from other countries cannot be accepted.
What happens if I do not complete the health screening?
Failure to complete the health screening upon arrival will result in notification to the Registrar’s office and possible cancellation of your classes for the subsequent semester. If your classes are cancelled, you will be in violation of your immigration status.
