Jillian is a third-year Political Science major with a concentration in Multicultural Politics, minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality studies, and a Legal Studies certificate. Following graduation next Spring, she hopes to attend graduate school. Jillian worked as a Peer Leader for one year with two different Learning Communities, and she is looking forward to all she will learn in her new position. At UC, she is also involved in undergraduate research, the administrative review board, and is currently the President of the Arts & Sciences Ambassadors. For fun, Jillian enjoys dancing, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and miniature pet pig!

Jared is a fourth year Psychology student, also minoring in Organizational Leadership. His goal is to pursue a graduate program in Sport and Performance Psychology after graduation. This is Jared’s third year within the department, having spent one year as a Peer Leader and is now in his second year as a Peer Leader Coordinator. Jared is also a member of the University Honors Program and serves as a research assistant in the Perceptual Motor Dynamics research lab on campus. He is passionate about the growth of himself and those around him and is very excited to advocate for first year students through the Learning Commons for yet another year. Jared loves any and all things sport and competition related (especially golf), and enjoys spending time with his friends and family.

Anya is a fifth-year student, wrapping up her final year in Chemical Engineering. She has completed five co-op rotations with two different companies while at UC. After graduation, she hopes to continue working for Marathon Petroleum full-time in one of their 16 refinery locations. Anya was previously a Peer Leader to Engineering and Exploratory STEM Learning Communities for three semesters before becoming a PLC. This will be her first year as a PLC and she is extremely excited to be able to continue to support the Learning Commons and first-year students. Throughout her time at UC, Anya has been involved with Bearcat Buddies, a tutoring program for students within the Cincinnati Public School system, as well as with her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta. Anya loves all things politics, running, and painting with watercolors.

Rohan Khanzada

Rohan is a fifth year Biomedical Engineering Student. He has co-oped at Zimmer Biomet in the Hips, Knees, and Surgeon Specialty Instrument Department where he worked on developing instruments that specifically match surgeon needs when performing orthopedic surgeries. Rohan plans to work in the Biomedical Engineering industry for a couple of years until later going to graduate school to pursue a Master’s in Business Administration. Rohan has been a part of the Learning Commons for four years. He started out as a Peer Leader for the College of Engineering and then after two years became a Peer Leader Coordinator. Rohan loves to meet new people and make new connections. He loves to bring the energy in a room and brighten people’s days. Rohan loves anything sport related and loves listening to different types of new music. For fun, Rohan designs clothes, plays all types of sports, and loves traveling through cities and large landscapes.

Jenna is a fourth year Health Sciences student, majoring in Behavioral and Occupational Studies and minoring in Psychology. Her goal is to obtain her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy following her graduation in the spring. This is Jenna’s first year as a PLC after serving as a Peer Leader the year prior and is incredibly excited about this opportunity and to be able to continue working with the amazing people in this program. Originally from Findlay, OH, Jenna was drawn to the community-feel of Cincinnati which is one of the many reasons she chose to attend UC as well as become a part of the Learning Community Program. On campus, Jenna is involved with Pi Beta Phi Sorority and is a member of Motor Board Senior Honor Society. For the past three years, she has also been a tutor with Inner City Youth Opportunities, an after-school program for underprivileged youth here in Cincinnati. In her free time, Jenna enjoys traveling both near and far, reading a good book or watching a good show, and spending time with her family, friends, and two dogs.

Darius Montero is a third-year Health Sciences major on a pre-med track and is minoring in Spanish. He hopes to go to medical school and become a pediatrician who is able to treat both English and Spanish speaking patients. Darius worked as a Peer Leader last year and is extremely excited to be entering the Peer Leader Coordinator position this year. In his free time, he enjoys exercising, hiking, climbing, running obstacle course races, and just about anything else that gets you up and moving.

Meg Vonada is a fourth-year Social Work major with a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She is from Delaware, Ohio a town outside of Columbus. Meg has been a peer leader for two years for the social work learning community. She is currently an intern at Twin Towers Retirement Community and is a member of a Humanist community group.  After graduation, she plans to go to graduate school and earn a Master’s in Social Work. Meg wants to work in the field of geriatrics and also become a political activist. She enjoys traveling and attending a great protest.
