UC remembers victims of 9/11 on 25th anniversary

September 11, 2026

UC remembered the victims and first responders who died on 9/11 25 years ago with a memorial stair run at Nippert Stadium. Hundreds of students, members of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps, firefighters, police officers and members of the public turned out to honor those who died in the terror attacks on Washington, D.C., and New York.

Aerospace engineering alumnus honored with Kautz Master Alumni Award

University of Cincinnati alumnus Dinesh Keskar spent nearly four decades at the Boeing Company and facilitated billions of dollars in sales. HE earned his M.S. and PhD from the College of Engineering and Applied Science. Earlier this year, he was honored by UC with the prestigious Kautz Alumni Master Award.

UC researchers seek to combat youth weight gain from bipolar medication

Cleveland.com highlighted a University of Cincinnati initiative approved for funding by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) to expand the implementation of healthy lifestyle interventions and metformin prescription to help manage weight gain in overweight or obese youth taking second-generation antipsychotic medications.

CCM alumnus to write and direct movie for Neon, Blumhouse Atomic Monster, Spooky Pictures

Spencer Lackey is taking his scary stories from social media to feature films with Lust, a movie he wrote and will direct. A few months ago, The Hollywood Reporter informally surveyed agents, managers and producers about who could be the next Curry Barker (Obsession) or Kane Parsons (Backrooms). UC College-Conservatory of Music alumnus Spencer Lackey (BFA Acting, '17) was one of the names that kept coming up as a potential "next big thing in the horror space."
