Lady Cougars Celebrate Academic All-American and New Player From Loveland High School

Sarah Stratman, a junior forward for the UC Clermont College Lady Cougars has repeated as a USCAA 2011 National Academic All-American. Stratman is finishing up her junior year at UC Clermont College majoring in Special Education.

  

 

She has been an important member of the UC Clermont College Lady Cougar Basketball Team for the past three years. UC Clermont College is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, USCAA, a national organization of small colleges from around the nation.

 

Since Stratman has been at UC Clermont, she has played a big part in the success - 84 wins and two national third-place finishes at the national tournament. With a 3.7 GPA, this marks the second year in a row Stratman has earned USCAA Academic All-American honors.

New player from Loveland High School

 

The Women's Basketball program at UC Clermont College announces that senior Leah Alford, from Loveland High School, has committed to attend Clermont College and play basketball for the Lady Cougars. Alford is a 6' tall forward who was one of her team's leading rebounders. Alford plans on a future working with kids -- possibly teaching and coaching.
