The Village Life Project and UC International bring global outreach efforts home
First-year UC Global Scholars Timoth Akana and Zedekia Samara express their gratitude to The Village Life Project and the UC Global Scholars program.
“It’s a chance for us to also help some other people if we succeed,“ Samara says of the opportunity to study at UC.
Like most of their first-year student contemporaries in this pandemic, both Samara and Akama started their UC experience online in the fall of 2020. But unlike their peers who chose UC — UC chose them.
