Cincinnati Business Courier: Group founded by UC student helps companies find talent

A group founded by a University of Cincinnati student is assisting companies in getting analytics help and connecting students with mentors and job opportunities.

UC Lindner College of Business senior Daniel Posmik founded an on-campus group, Neo Initiative, last year. The group pairs UC students with mentors from Greater Cincinnati businesses and helps small businesses, primarily minority-owned companies, with analytics-related issues.

Approximately 50 students have participated in the program that’s now in its third semester. All three of Neo’s project leaders last semester were hired by Walnut Hills-based management consultant Amend Consulting.

Posmik wants to expand Neo to universities across the country. He already has started on that path, with students from the University of Wisconsin, Ohio Wesleyan and Stanford participating in this semester’s group.
