UC College of Engineering and Applied Science Professor Ou Ma will use an $11.5 million grant from the U.S. Space Force to develop robotic satellites that can fix other satellites in space. UC will work with Clemson University and the University of Arizona on the project.

The University of Cincinnati will study the economics of deploying autonomous drones to perform a variety of important tasks for Ohio’s Department of Transportation.

Three colleges at the University of Cincinnati collaborated to develop a semi-autonomous drone that can be dispatched right to people’s homes. The drones are big enough to carry medicine or medical supplies but small enough to maneuver the tight confines of a home using navigational algorithms developed by UC engineers so patients can talk face to face to their doctors or pharmacists.
