Helping Hands Forms Due July 15
UC administrators, faculty and staff will be lending a helping hand to students as they move on campus this fall. Helping Hands is a UC Quality Service initiative thats certainly a welcome sight for students moving in.
So far, 100 volunteers have signed up for the UC Helping Hands program, but at least 100 additional volunteers are needed because Helping Hands will be extended over two days this fall. Students will move into Dabney and Calhoun Halls on Thursday, Sept. 18. Students will move into all other residence halls (Dabney and Calhoun included) on Friday, Sept. 19.
This fall marks the third year for Helping Hands. Last year, the number of volunteers doubled from when the program was first launched in fall 2001.
Volunteers must sign up to confirm the date, hall and location of the residence hall where theyd like to assist students. Registration forms must be sent to Sue Iversen, administrative coordinator for Housing and Food Services, no later than July 15. For more information, e-mail Iversen at Iversesr@uc.edu
