Hoops On The Web: Check Out Experimental Webcasts Of UC Games
Fan participation is being sought by the University of Cincinnati for a trial-basis Webcast of UC basketball games.
UC's men's basketball game against Saint Louis University on Wednesday, Feb. 25, will be Webcast on a delayed basis. This is an experiment to determine the level of interest in such broadcasts and, if the technology is advanced enough, to potentially support Webcasting a series of UC events next year.
The game will be available at 11 pm EST at the following Web site: http://streaming.uc.edu/athletics. This Webcast will be a Web version of the WXIX-TV (Channel 19) telecast. You will also find an archived version of the UC women's basketball game against East Carolina, played Friday, Feb. 20, which was produced internally using UCit and student personnel.
The Web page includes a feedback form. We would appreciate honest feedback from users who view the games concerning the quality and usefulness of these Web casts.
