Campus Services Collects Donations for UC/Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity Partnership
UCs Campus Services is launching the first drive to financially support the ongoing UC building partnership with Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity (CHFH). At the May 8 dedication of the first home built through the university-wide partnership with CHFH, it was announced that future UC volunteers will be building one home a year.
Our approach to fund-raising will be to ask everyone in the university family and for them to ask their friends to make small contributions that will add up to great fulfillment in the months ahead. We are reaching out to different UC organizations and individuals to begin fund-raising for the second house. We want to make a special appeal to UC student organizations, the construction community for materials, and others who provide funds for a worthy cause, said Mitchel D. Livingston, UC vice president for Student Affairs and Services.
From May 10-21, UC Campus Services will have cash collection boxes for UC Build A Home donations at the following locations:
- MainStreet Connection Center
- UC Bookstores
- MainStreet ExpressMart
- Business on Main
- Quick Micks GrabnGo
- Mick & Macks Contemporary Café
- Tortilla Fresca
- Gold Star Chili
- Wendys
