'Today' on MSNBC.com: UC's Michal Polak Discusses Fruit Fly Research

How to hang onto a woman has been an issue for some men over the years. Luckily, some species have a little extra edge.

University of Cincinnati evolutionary biologist Michal Polak has been studying genital spikes and their functionality in fruit flies and reports his results in the Jan. 6 "Proceedings of the Royal Society B." Through a partnership with LiveScience and MSNBC, Charles Q. Choi interviewed Polak for the "Today" show's Web site.
