CECH Education Programs Rank 55 on U.S. News List of Top Grad Schools

In the latest U.S. News and World Report rankings of graduate schools released March 15, 2011, UC’s

graduate programs in education

climbed to #55 of more than 200 schools ranked. Up 11 places from last year, the three-way tie for 55 puts UC on par with Boston University and Syracuse.

In his announcement to faculty and staff, Dean Larry Johnson stated, “I want to thank everyone for their hard work and effort. We continue to grow, and are being noticed for our increasing quality. Each year we get a little higher in the rankings and soon it will be commonplace for us to be in the top 50.”

The 2012 results put UC in the top 20% of colleges ranked, with only one other college in Ohio ranked higher.  A U.S. News article on the best graduate schools across the nation states, “It's important for those considering graduate school to be mindful of the significant changes being made at graduate programs nationwide as they seek a school that best fits their needs and puts them in place to succeed with their diploma in hand.” The rankings, published annually, are a valuable tool to help prospective grad students do just that.
