OTR mural celebrates UC alumni innovation and impact

The UC Alumni Association (UCAA) will host its annual Alumni Celebration during Alumni Week, April 13-18, with a community art project commemorating this year’s slate of alumni honorees receiving the organization’s top awards. Taking place April 16 at the First Financial Center (Cincinnati Convention Center), the Alumni Celebration will recognize the 18 honorees for their individual and collective innovation and impact, and the resulting impact on their university, communities, and fields of endeavor.

'Born to Bowl' docu-series from CCM alum Brian Lazarte airs on HBO

The HBO Original five-part documentary series "Born to Bowl," directed by CCM Media Production alumnus Brian Lazarte and James Lee Hernandez, from A24 and executive produced by Ben Stiller, and narrated by Liev Schreiber, airs its final episode on Monday, April 13. It will be available to watch on HBO as well as stream on HBO Max.

UC’s research surges with $346M in awards

The University of Cincinnati reached $346 million in sponsored research awards in fiscal year 2025, up 6.6% increase over the previous year. Additionally, funding for clinical trials at UC climbed, with $88 million in industry-sponsored awards and $33 million in federally sponsored awards.

From CCM to the Cornfields: Joe Moeller returns home in Broadway hit 'Shucked'

A graduate of St. Xavier High School and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Joe Moeller spent more than a decade building a career in regional theaters before making his Broadway debut in 2022. Now he returns to Cincinnati in a lead role in "Shucked," which runs at the Aronoff Center from Feb. 10-22.

Presented by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, the 68th Annual Grammy Award ceremony takes place on Sunday, Feb. 1 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, broadcasting live on the CBS Television Network and streaming live and on demand on Paramount +.

CCM and UC Athletics partner on state-of-the-art live broadcast studio

January 26, 2026

Media Production students work on live broadcasts with UC Athletics in a new, state-of-the-art sports media broadcast control room at UC College-Conservatory of Music. CCM Media Production and UC Athletics are working collaboratively on the university's sporting events, producing video board displays and live, multi-camera sports broadcasts for the ESPN+ streaming service since Fall 2020 from the Nippert Stadium control room. Now, with the addition of the new CCM sports media broadcast control room, video teams can cover multiple events at the same time.

Relive the excitement of that residency with the latest video releases from CCM Recording Productions. This October, the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music welcomed Pulitzer Prize and Grammy Award-winning composer Jennifer Higdon for a three-day-long residency. Dubbed the "Jennifer Higdon Festival," this one-of-a-kind event featured a variety of different public performances presented by students and faculty, along with a Composition Symposium for CCM students, faculty and staff.

UC launches Bearcats Affordability Grant

January 7, 2026

The University of Cincinnati is making college more attainable for students across Ohio with the creation of the Bearcats Affordability Grant. The new grant will provide a pathway to tuition-free college for students of families who make less than $75,000 per year. Beginning in fall 2026, the Bearcats Affordability Grant will cover the remaining cost of tuition for Ohio residents who are Pell eligible.
