The study, published in the June issue of Pediatrics, shows that teen girls who would depict themselves online in a provocative way, and teen girls with a history of child abuse, are more likely to receive online sexual advances and then meet those individuals offline.

Abnormal Carotid Arteries Found in Obese Kids as Young as 11

Obese children as young as 11 have increased thickness and stiffness (atherosclerosis) of their carotid arteries factors associated with a higher risk of stroke and heart attacks in adults. Moreover, abnormal carotid arteries, which supply blood to the brain, are found in obese adolescents who do not yet have type 2 diabetes.
