Where There s a War, There s a Way: Women Storm the Workforce

Co-ops graduated a little early that wartime spring of 1942 -- on April 10 to be exact. Recalled Florence Schroeder: The boys wore their ROTC uniforms under their caps and gowns and left immediately for the service from commencement. By April 20, I was on the job not as a secretary but as a statistical accountant. The employers hired us for men s positions. They even gave us girls golf lessons.

Bearcat Volleyball Honored For Academic Success

The University of Cincinnati volleyball team has been honored for its success off the court as a recipient of the Game Plan/American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for the 2004-05 school year.

The UC/UH Primary Stroke Center is one of only about 140 in the country to receive JCAHO certification, which is based on the Brain Attack Coalition s recommendations for primary stroke centers and the American Stroke Association's statements guidelines for stroke care.
