Grad student’s research could save water — and money — around the world

Thanks to high-efficiency fixtures and water conservation efforts, most buildings use less water today than they did decades ago. But new buildings are still being designed to meet outdated plumbing standards. Research by UC doctoral student Toritseju Omaghomi will help building engineers design plumbing that saves water and money—and time for those waiting for a hot shower.
