Pride at Lindner begins fundraising drive for first-of-its-kind endowment at the Carl H. Lindner College of Business

It started with a mid-summer check-in between student leaders and faculty advisors. Pride at Lindner’s (PaL) student executive board and its faculty/advisor leadership met to discuss strategic planning and goals for the upcoming school year and beyond. According to PaL advisor Nadia Ibrahim-Taney, those present overwhelmingly expressed the need for student financial aid, specifically an endowed scholarship. Such was the genesis of the Pride at Lindner Scholarship and Programming Fund, an endowed scholarship that would allow the current PaL team to leave a legacy for current and future LGBTQ+ students.

Instructor weaves experience in private sector to modernize accounting course material

Raqule Crawley, BBA ’02, MS ’03, CPA, joined the private sector after graduating from the Carl H. Lindner College of Business as a student in the Lindner Honors-PLUS program. She worked as an audit senior at Deloitte and in acquisition and divesture consultation and external cash flows at Proctor & Gamble before returning to Lindner as an instructor.

Lindner’s Transfer Ambassadors detail their journeys to UC

“I looked into Lindner and UC, and everything played out perfectly for me to come down here. And I’m loving it so far.” Suffice to say, Alejandro Diaz, BBA, BS, ’22, an international student from Honduras, is at peace with his decision to transfer to the University of Cincinnati from Bluffton University in northwest Ohio last year. The same could be said for Anna Walters, BBA, ’23, who traded in the University of Southern California (USC) for UC.

MS marketing graduate founds South Asian-inspired digital art company

Working in the field of business is more than just crunching numbers and creating spreadsheets. The diverse courses at the University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business have allowed alumni to confidently pursue their career interests and explore creative outlets, including fashion, art and design. An exemplar for this pathway is Kajal Gajria, MS ’20. Last year, Gajria started a South Asian-inspired digital art company, Desi At Heart.

Jones, BBA ’08, recently detailed his scholastic and business background with start-up and and venture capital in a recent meeting with the University of Cincinnati's student venture capital (VC) organization, Bearcat Ventures.
