Health Sciences Scholar-Athlete Joins Legion of Excellence

Each year the University of Cincinnati (UC) Department of Athletics selects student-athletes from each of UC's 19 varsity sports to be inducted into the Legion of Excellence. This year, student-athlete Meagan Gulmi, a senior in the College of Allied Health Sciences and goalie for the UC women s lacrosse team, is an inductee.

Pharmacy College Names Distinguished Alumni

Three prominent alumni from the University of Cincinnati s James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy returned to campus Oct. 23, 2015, to receive Distinguished Alumni awards the highest honor bestowed upon graduates from the James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy.

Pharmacy College Cheers Kowalewski Hall

Kowalewski Hall, formerly known as the Health Professions Building, was designed by famed Cincinnati architectural firm Samuel Hannaford & Sons in the early 1900s. The building is situated on UC s Academic Health Center campus and is scheduled to undergo a $27 million renovation beginning in 2016.

School of Social Work's Shauna Acquavita, PhD, Leads $900,000 Grant

The University of Cincinnati (UC) School of Social Work in the College of Allied Health Sciences has received a federal grant for $916, 323 to design and implement a program titled Interprofessional Screening, Brief Intervention, Referral and Treatment (SBIRT) Training for Health Professions.
