UC Faculty Awards 2020: Karen Machleit

“As I see more of my career behind me rather than ahead of me, it’s gratifying to know that others feel I have made a difference with my work here at UC. To say that my career is worthy of such a prestigious award is humbling,” says Karen Machleit, professor and department chair of marketing in the Lindner College of Business. Machleit began her career at UC 33 years ago dedicating much of her time to nurturing the talents of faculty and staff.

UC's Bearcats Landing intranet welcomes Canopy users

UC’s Canopy portal for faculty and staff was sunset along with Blackboard on Tuesday, June 30. Faculty and staff can now access all Canopy tools--including Canvas, UC’s Learning Management System--by using Bearcats Landing at my.uc.edu.

UC students gain experience of a lifetime in Venice

The Biennale, which runs May 26-Nov. 25, 2018, is regarded as the worldâ s most prestigious platform for contemporary art and architecture. "Alchemy," an exhibit funded through the Simpson Center for Urban Futures, focuses on the societal challenges within the socioeconomic landscape of Cincinnati.

UC's Edson Cabalfin brings the Philippines to Italy

Edson Cabalfin, associate professor in the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP), served as curator of the 16th International Venice Architecture Biennale’s Philippine pavilion, one of 63 national pavilions selected to show during the prestigious architecture and contemporary art exhibition.
