Dionysios (Dion) Dionysiou, Ph.D., professor of environmental engineering at the University of Cincinnati, was named a Highly Cited Researcher in 2020 by Clarivate Web of Science for his work addressing water pollution, conservation and treatment.

A team of University of Cincinnati students placed third in the National Association of Home Builders competition. The UC team comprised students from construction management, architectural engineering and civil engineering majors within the College of Engineering and Applied Science and real estate and marketing majors in the Carl H. Ponaravind Muthaiah, an aerospace engineering robotics master’s student at the University of Cincinnati, wants to make it possible for a drone to deliver critical medical supplies to the site of a disaster.

GE Aerospace Foundation is investing further in its Next Engineers program, including the Cincinnati location facilitated by the University of Cincinnati, extending the program locally through 2028. Engineering Academy, a three-year engineering education program for high-schoolers, graduated its first cohort of students. Students who complete the program and go on to pursue an engineering degree in college will receive a scholarship.
