UC's tobacco-free campaign receives national recognition
October 25, 2018
The University of Cincinnati was recognized by the American Cancer Society with the Guardians of the Campus Environment award. The award, applied for by the Student Wellness Center, was provided by UC because of the tobacco environmental scans done by staff in the Student Wellness Center, Be Well UC, UC Blue Ash, and UC Clermont. These groups have examined tobacco use in various locations around UC's campuses through the use of environmental scanning; tobacco use was recorded to identify campus "hot spots" where tobacco use is high.
