On Saturday, March 15, the University of Cincinnati hosted the 75th annual Regional Science Day, a presentation of the Ohio Academy of Science (OAS), in the Tangeman University Center. This year’s Regional Science Day event was made extra special by the co-presentation of UC’s 3d Printers Showcase, an event put on by the 3d Printers Club program, which is sponsored by Greater Cincinnati STEM Collaborative in the UC Center for Youth Futures.

On November 22, 2024, in the University of Cincinnati’s Tangeman University Center (TUC), UC hosted “Navigating the Storm: The Opioid Epidemic in Cincinnati.” The one-day, open-to-all seminar was presented by the College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology and organized by the Hamilton County Office of Addiction Response (HC-OAR).

The University of Cincinnati's the UC Corrections Institute (UCCI), part of the School of Criminal Justice within the College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology (CECH), in 2024 launched its inaugural Transformative Leadership Vanguard, a 10-month collective training summit designed to support youth corrections reform by addressing dire staffing needs in the system.

Chelsea Lovelace, manager of cyber threat intelligence at leading defense contractor RTX, didn't always know what she wanted to do. Grappling with family tragedy, she entered community college after high school, but upon visiting University of Cincinnati, she fell in love with the campus. Today, with an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and a master's in IT—both from UC—she's excelled in roles with the National Guard, Cincinnati Police Department and now in the corporate world.
