Payment Options

Full-time and 50 percent FTE part-time employees (non-student) may use pre-tax payroll deduction to pay for permits.

Individuals not eligible for payroll deductions (e.g., fellows, visiting faculty, contractors, adjunct faculty below 50% FTE, etc.) must pay in advance for parking privileges. Payments can be made by cash, check or credit card.

Purchasing Your Permit

All individuals will pay the pro-rated amount for the first month by cash, check or credit card. Dates of pro-ration are the 15th and 25th of each month.

Using July as an example:

  • Permit renewed July 1 - July 14, cost will be full monthly rate
  • Permit renewed July 15 - July 24, cost will be 50% of the monthly rate
  • Permit renewed July 25 - end of month, cost will be 25% of the monthly rate
Permits on payroll deduction will then automatically renew each month, so it is the employee's responsibility to contact Parking Services to cancel their parking.
Individuals not on payroll deduction may renew online prior to the expiration date, or in the office for up to three months.

The permit holder is responsible for notifying the Parking Services office to cancel parking.

Employees must visit the parking office in 4 Edwards Center to terminate parking on their last workday. Office hours are listed on our home page.

For permit holders using monthly payroll deduction, parking must be terminated prior to the last day of the month to stop future payroll deductions.

Refunds for cancelled parking are made on a prorated basis. Hangtags must be returned to the Parking Services office to receive a refund. Retroactive refunds are not offered for failure to terminate parking in a timely manner. No refunds are issued for student permits after week 13 of the semester. No refunds are issued for permits revoked due to misuse.
