Staff Excellence Awards
The University of Cincinnati Office of the Provost recognizes the invaluable service provided by staff to the success of the academic mission of the university. To that end, the Office of the Provost will establish a Provost Staff Excellence Award Fund. The fund will be used to celebrate staff contributions and provide awards to staff for exceptional performance that has directly contributed to the success of the academic mission.

In 200 words or less, nominators must be able to describe how the nominee has gone above and beyond to perform their duties, in an outstanding manner that directly contributes to the success of the university’s academic mission.
Year 1 – An ad hoc group of staff from outside the Office of the Provost will be responsible for reviewing nominations, recommending award winners and making recommendations to the Provost regarding the celebration and award ceremony. The Sr. Vice Provost for Academic Administration and Finance, along with the HR Director of the Office of the Provost, will guide the group, but will not be voting members. The celebration of staff and awards ceremony will occur mid-October.
Year 2 and beyond – The award recipients from the previous year will form the committee responsible for reviewing nominations, recommending award winners and making recommendations to the Provost regarding the celebration and award ceremony.
