In this project we are are studying the potential of organofunctional silanes for corrosion protection of metals. UC has considerable experience with this topic and Zhejiang University, Department of Chemistry, has recently entered into this field, too. The interaction between the silanes and the metal is studied by a wide range of tools and the performance is tested in indoor and outdoor test conditions. The first student exchange is planned for the second half of 2007.

Project commenced on April 1, 2007
