MOOC2Degree

Open online courses have risen in popularity over the past year, but they have generally not been tied to a university credential.  UC is addressing this issue by launching an innovative new program known as MOOC2Degree. MOOCs that may be offered under this initiative, such as Innovative and Design Thinking, will feature the same academic content and taught by the same instructors as our traditional classes. More importantly, students who successfully complete the MOOC2Degree course and enroll as a new student in an applicable UC degree program may earn credit.

Participants who successfully complete the Innovation and DesignThinking MOOC2Degree and enroll as a new student at the University of Cincinnati will receive graduate credits that can be applied toward either an MBA degree from the Lindner College of Business or a Master of Engineering degree through the College of Engineering and Applied Science.*

  • Participants do not have to be University of Cincinnati students. The class is open to all individuals.
  • There is no cost associated with registering or participating in UC's MOOCs.
  • Students who wish to obtain a Certificate of Completion or receive UC credit for the course, where allowed, may incur costs.
