Over $283K Raised During UC’s 4-Day March Mania Challenge

Lindner College of Business takes top spot with nearly 200 donations

The Carl H. Lindner College of Business may have officially won the University of Cincinnati March Mania Challenge, the four-day fundraising competition between UC’s colleges and units, but everyone left a winner.

In all, 1,133 donations were received, totaling more than $283,000 to benefit UC. Online gifts increased six-fold over the same period last year. Donations will benefit numerous areas at UC, including student scholarships, faculty, staff, alumni, research, programs and more. Every donor during the competition will receive an official Team Bearcats window cling.

The Lindner College of Business, the McMicken College of Arts & Sciences, and wildcard team UC Blue Ash College battled it out in the Championship Round. Ultimately, the Lindner College of Business emerged as champion with 191 donations and will receive $2,500 to benefit student scholarships. UC Blue Ash College and the McMicken College of Arts & Sciences took the second and third spots, collecting 176 and 150 donations, respectively.

UC March Mania ran from March 24 through 27. Please visit uc.edu/marchmania to learn more about the fundraising competition.
