This team’s work was focused on retooling the aging industrial area of northern Camp Washington to attract today’s opportunities while at the same time maintaining a good neighborhood environment. They focused on the two property areas (sites 1 and 2) defined by city staff for new industry in the northern part of Camp Washington.
They envisioned two focused spheres of application: industry to industry relationships and industry to nature relationships, both contained within the larger topic of knowledge and policy which they would inform and support both simultaneously and symbiotically.
The industry to industry relationships aim to eliminate (the concept of ) waste and “...generate clean energy from any materials that cannot be reused in industrial cycles by using them as fuel to power other industries in the surrounding community. The industry to nature relationshop addresses issues such as stormwater management and green energy."
