Redesign of Low Overpass at Kenwood and Madison

This team addressed the existing rail bridge located at Kenwood and Madison Roads. The bridge presents wear problems and clearance height which is lower than Ohio’s statutory height. The proposal of this group of students is the redesign of the bridge in order to solve the clearance and wear problems. The design process included the analysis of live and dead loads as well as fatigue. Possible modes of construction were also considered.
